Everything starts with an idea! The inspiration started in Mexico City. I love buying souvenir tees from every place I travel to, and thought to myself, there’s no real Canadian t-shirt out there, that I would ever buy or be proud to wear. I found that our souvenir shops in Montreal needed a tee shirt face lift, something cool edgy and modern. I was marinating on the idea, but never really imagined it coming to life until I partnered up with Carlo de Luca from Station 16.
T[ART]E is the French word for Pie – filled with ‘art’……and is not your ordinary Canadian inspired souvenir tees, but rather a meeting between modern time Art and Canadian History, and traditions. Each creation is produced in small workshops, in limited quantities, in order to frequently offer our customers, new designs and exclusive creations.
The next step was to Photograph the new t-shirt line. All this production was made possible with the help of an amazing and talented team ! A big shout out THANK YOU to visionary make-up artist Mika Holborow, and three beautiful and sexy models Andy Surdila, Vonne C and Pascale Cleary Gagnon. My guest for that day was Anthony Isabella from ACI creatives who happens to just LOVE photography. We are now selling the Tees on-line, but am hoping to be in souvenir stores and airport in the near future, and have the Tee shirts travel the globe!
